New Shingle Style House

Constructed From The Ground Up

The owners wanted an energy efficient house but also needed to keep within a set budget.

To achieve this, a combination of sprayed urethane foam insulation and traditional fiberglass batting was strategically used throughout the house. A radiant ceramic paint additive, low-E house wrap, and low-E coated windows filled with argon gas also aided in realizing this goal.

Additionally, the owners were concerned with off-gassing as well as using green building components. To solve these two concerns, they chose Brazilian cherry for the floors and the open three-story staircase.

Constructed from the ground up by Oxford Builders, this custom-built shingle-style house was completed two months ahead of schedule. Although a large house at 5000 square feet, the house has an intimate feel thanks to our custom-designed layout.
